The mountain located north of the village, with grassy slopes and many farmhouses, culminates in the peak of Sponda (1496 meters) situated between Val de Fontagnù to the east and Val Dossana to the west. This mountain was once a site of extensive mining activities in past centuries for the extraction of zinc. Activities were interrupted in the early 1970s once the mines were deemed unproductive.
